Hello and Welcome! My name is Mary Tufano and I am a FUNCTIONAL DIAGNOSTIC NUTRITION® Practitioner (FDN-P) and founder of THE ROOT CAUSE SOLUTION, a full-service Diagnostic Lab testing company. As a FUNCTIONAL DIAGNOSTIC NUTRITION® Practitioner, I don't just treat symptoms. I help to uncover the root causes of your health concerns.
WHAT IS AN FDN PRACTITIONER?
FUNCTIONAL DIAGNOSTIC NUTRITION® Practitioners are health detectives. We run non-invasive, state-of-the-art laboratory testing to help identify H.I.D.D.E.N. stressors that are interfering with your health. With clinical correlation between your symptoms and health history, we can uncover the root causes of dysfunction in the body. Rather than simply chasing symptoms in an endless cycle of trial and error, an FDN Practitioner will help you to understand why those symptoms are happening in the first place. Step 2 – THE PLAN - We use in-depth diagnostic lab testing and analysis to find H.I.D.D.E.N. stressors in the body.
Step 3 – THE JOURNEY - We create a personalized healing plan using the D.R.E.S.S. for Health Success® program.

As an FDN Practitioner, many people come to me as a last resort. They have “tried everything” and hit a wall. What they don’t understand is that they are often dealing with several levels of dysfunction in the body and these complications remain hidden from view. These hidden stressors compound over time and create Metabolic Chaos®. Symptom-free living is simply not possible until these issues are identified and properly managed. Are headaches an aspirin deficiency? Is fatigue a caffeine deficiency? In other words, symptoms are not the problem, they are the result of the problem!
INITIAL TWO-HOUR DISCOVERY SESSION
Your initial TWO HOUR Consultation visit is all about the "Discovery". Through the Metabolic Chaos Scorecard questionnaire, we will take a a deep-dive look into every major organ system of your body. This directs us to the organ systems with which we should be focusing our attention. We will extensively explore your case getting to the ROOT CAUSE of your symptoms and why you feel the way you do.
You are also welcome to bring any past LABS or BLOOD WORK that we can incorporate into the Discovery Session.
We will also discuss the nature of the health coaching relationship and the Lab options recommended for your case. Once your Discovery Session is completed, you have the option to work with The Root Cause Solution and access the lab tests. We will create a customized care plan that will put you on the path to healing.
If you are not ready for lab testing, we can still work together as a bridge between your self-care and medical care, to support and guide you through your wellness journey.
The cost for the two hour visit is $200. Follow-up visits are $75 for 60 minutes.
